(a) Eligible employees may use sick leave for illness, disability incidental to pregnancy or nonjob related injury to the employee; appointments with physicians, dentists, or other recognized practitioners; or for serious illness, disability, or injury, in the immediate family of the employee. Eligible employees on maternity or paternity leave may use sick leave during the first four (4) to six (6) weeks following childbirth, depending on the type of delivery. The Cook County Treasurer shall create a Cook County Board of Review Operation and Administrative Fund, which shall be subject to appropriation by the Board, to be used to offset the costs incurred by the Board of Review in performing the additional duties required to fairly and impartially review the assessments of all property within Cook County. The Treasurer shall allocate any revenue incurred from the collection of fees by the Board of Review from bulk users to the fund. The Commissioners of the Board of Review shall be the custodian, ex officio, of this fund and shall use the fund to perform the duties required by the office.
