19-0444 1 TO FILL VACANCY IN THE OFFICE OF RECORDER OF DEEDSResolutionPROPOSED RESOLUTION TO FILL VACANCY IN THE OFFICE OF RECORDER OF DEEDS WHEREAS, effective December 3, 2018, Cook County Recorder of Deeds, Karen Yarbrough will resign from and vacate the office of Cook County Recorder; Karen Yarbrough will assume the Office of Cook County Clerk; and WHEREAS, effective December 3, 2018, the Office of the Cook County Recorder will be vacant; and WHEREAS, in accordance with 10 ILCS 5/25-11, a vacancy in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds shall be filled by the County Board of Commissioners for the remainder of the current term; and WHEREAS, the current term for the Cook County Recorder of Deeds expires on December 1, 2020; and WHEREAS, in 2016, the voters in Cook County approved a binding referendum which will eliminate the Office of the Cook County Recorder of Deeds and transfer its responsibilities to the Cook County Clerk’s Office by December 7, 2020; and WHEREAS, Edward M.
