PROPOSED RESOLUTION
RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING PALOS PARK’S VILLAGE COUNCIL COMMISSIONER G. DARRYL REED’S 15 YEARS OF SERVICE
WHEREAS, Retiring Palos Park Village Council Commissioner, G. Darryl Reed made Palos Park his home in 2001; and
WHEREAS, He served on the Palos Park Certified Local Government Task Force from 2003-2005; and
WHEREAS, Continuing his role serving residents, he joined the Palos Park Village Council as a Commissioner in 2011, remaining in that position for 15 dedicated years; and
WHEREAS, Serving as a Palos Park Village Council Commissioner, G. Darryl Reed set an example for many, never losing sight of his goal to maintain accountability and transparency in Village government; and
WHEREAS, Through service, compassion, and dedication to maintaining open lines of communication with Village residents, Commissioner G. Darryl Reed represents the very best qualities of a leader; and
WHEREAS, Commissioner G. Darryl Reed’s leadership expertise, endurance, and hard work as the Commissioner of Building and Public Property have been a great support for our community; and
WHEREAS, Commissioner Reed’s leadership as Commissioner of Accounts and Finances served to help increase the financial resources of the Village; and
WHEREAS Upon the occasion of Commissioner G. Darryl Reed’s retirement from the Palos Park Village Council, Cook County Commissioner Sean M. Morrison joins the many residents that appreciate his service, wishing him well in all his future endeavors;
NOW, THERFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that on this 11th Day of June 2026 Cook County Commissioner Sean M. Morrison, on behalf of the residents of Cook County, extends sincerest congratulations and gratitude to Commissioner G. Darryl Reed for 15 years of dedicated service to the Palos Park Village Council and the citizens they are sworn to represent.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a suitable copy of this Resolution be spread upon the official proceedings of this Honorable Body and that an official copy of the same be tendered to retired Palos Park Village Council Commissioner G. Darryl Reed.
