Title: PROPOSED ORDINANCE AMENDMENT PAID LEAVE BE IT ORDAINED, by the Cook County Board of Commissioners, that Chapter 42 - Human Relations, Article II, In General, Division I, Paid Leave, Section 42.2 of the Cook County Code is hereby amended as Follows: Sec. 42.2. Definitions. *** Employer has the same application and meaning as that provided in Sections 1 and 2 of the Illinois Wage Payment and Collection Act, except that for purposes of this Division, "Employer" does not mean: (1) The government of the United States or a corporation wholly owned by the government of the United States; or (2) An Indian tribe or a corporation wholly owned by an Indian tribe; or (3) An Indian tribe or a corporation wholly owned by an Indian tribe; The government of the State or any agency or department thereof; or (4) School districts organized under the School Code or park districts organized under the Park District Code. *** Effective date: This ordinance shall be in effect immediately u...

BE IT ORDAINED, by the Cook County Board of Commissioners, that Chapter 42 - Human Relations, Article II, In General, Division I, Paid Leave, Section 42.2 of the Cook County Code is hereby amended as Follows:

 

Sec. 42.2.  Definitions.
