PROPOSED RESOLUTION
RECOGNIZING KENNY FULLMAN FOR HIS INDUCTION INTO THE ILLINOIS HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL COACH ASSOCIATION (IHSBCA) HALL OF FAME
WHEREAS, Kenny Fullman grew up on the south side of Chicago, in the Washington Heights community He developed a love for baseball and joined the Jackie Robinson West little league team. Kenny was a member of the Jackie Robinson West little league team for 9 years.
WHEREAS, in 1984, Kenny graduated from Mt. Vernon Elementary school, and attended Mendel Catholic High School where he played baseball for 4 years.
WHEREAS, in the fall of 1988, Kenny attended Kentucky State University on a baseball scholarship where he played all 4 years. He received his bachelor degree in business administration.
WHEREAS, in 1992, Kenny graduated from Kentucky State University and returned home to the south side of Chicago. He began a brief career in banking but soon returned back to school. Kenny became an athletic teacher at Owen Scholastic Academy, and an assistant baseball coach at Harlan High School.
WHEREAS, in 1995, Kenny became a police officer at the 2nd district primarily working at the schools. His current career allows him the flexibility to stay connected with baseball.
WHEREAS, Kenny has coached baseball at Harlan High school for 25 years. 8 years as an assistant coach with a record of (629 - 251). 17 years as head coach with a record of (438 - 181). Kenny has won 12 Illinois High School Association Regional Titles, 2 IHSA Sectional Titles, and a Chicago Public School City Championship.
WHEREAS, he is an active member of the IHSBCA board of directors, and has been the Chicago Public School Conference Representative since 2006. Kenny has coached 13 MLB Draft Picks, 9 All-Americans and 27 All-State players.
WHEREAS, in 2007, Kenny co-founded the travel baseball program known as (A.C.E.), sponsored by the Chicago White Sox and Chicago White Sox Charities. A.C.E. is an elite travel baseball program, geared toward inn...
