PROPOSED RESOLUTION
IN HONOR AND RECOGNITION OF ADAM CLEMENT FOR HIS EXEMPLARY SERVICE TO COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, Mr. Adam Clement's love for public service has been demonstrated by his 25 years of service to Cook County in multiple capacities, beginning with his career as deputy recorder at the Cook County Recorder of Deeds Office and ultimately rising to deputy chief information officer in the Bureau of Technology (BOT); and
WHEREAS, Mr. Clement came from a family dedicated to community activism and political causes and from an early age was interested in working in the public sector; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Clement received a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and a minor in Economics from the University of Illinois/Urbana Illinois Arts; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Clement and his wife, Jean, raised three children in the Hyde Park neighborhood and now enjoy five grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, prior to coming to Cook County Government, Mr. Clement worked at the Joyce Foundation as a program officer where he handled a variety of special projects, evaluated hundreds of proposals, and helped secure grants for over 200 nonprofit organizations and institutions; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Clement provided steady leadership for ten years as deputy recorder under Recorders Carol Mosley Braun, Jesse White, and Eugene Moore, where he was praised for helping to implement unprecedented organizational, technological, and financial reforms that transformed the antiquated land records office into a more efficient and effective county agency; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Clement interrupted his career at the County to work in the private sector with Affiliated Computer Services, Inc (ACS) as an account manager and sales representative focused on bringing advanced indexing, imaging, and disaster recovery systems to public agencies; and
WHEREAS, during this period Mr. Clement established himself as an artist focused on creating geometric abstract drawings and paintings; and
