HONORING THE CAROLE ROBERTSON CENTER FOR LEARNING ON THEIR 50TH ANNIVERSARY

WHEREAS, the Carole Robertson Center for Learning was founded in 1976 when community members on Chicago's West Side came together to save a beloved after-school program that served as a vital resource for children and working families; and

WHEREAS, this community-led effort gave rise to the Carole Robertson Center for Learning, an organization rooted in a mission to educate, enrich, and empower children and families, a commitment that continues to guide its work today; and

WHEREAS, for fifty years, the Carole Robertson Center for Learning has served as an anchor in the community by providing high-quality early childhood education and youth development programs that support children and families in reaching their full potential; and

WHEREAS, the dedicated staff of the Carole Robertson Center for Learning have consistently demonstrated a commitment to excellence in support of each other and the children and families they serve, shaping futures and strengthening the fabric of the community; and

WHEREAS, the Center's long-standing commitment to education, care, and community partnership has resulted in a consistent and enduring presence in the lives of children and families across generations; and

WHEREAS, the Carole Robertson Center for Learning's fifty years of service reflect the power of community-driven leadership and a steadfast commitment to opportunity, education, and the well-being of children and families across Cook County; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Cook County Board of Commissioners does hereby honor and celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Carole Robertson Center for Learning and recognizes its enduring impact on generations of children, families, and the broader community; and
