PROPOSED RESOLUTION
HONORING REVEREND ALAN TAYLOR UPON THE OCCASION OF CELEBRATING HIS 18 YEARS OF SERVICE AS MINISTER OF UNITY TEMPLE
WHEREAS, on Sunday, June 27, 2021, the Unity Temple Unitarian Universalist Congregation will be celebrating Reverend Alan Taylor's eighteen years of service; and
WHEREAS, Reverend Alan Taylor's compassionate presence has helped countless many in their individual faith journeys; and
WHEREAS, Reverend Alan Taylor is to be applauded for his steadfast commitment to justice, equity and compassion; and
WHEREAS, Reverend Alan Taylor was called in 2003 to be the Minister of Unity Temple Unitarian Universalist Congregation, and has helped the congregation with significant growth, increased generosity, and expansion of ministries; and
WHEREAS, Reverend Alan Taylor has supported the community with his leadership as the President of the Community of Congregations; Board Member of the Leaders Network; Board member of NAMI Metro Suburban; and Co-Founder of the Oak Park River Forest Walk-in Ministry, which became Prevail and now part of Housing Forward; and
WHEREAS, the faith community of Unity Temple Unitarian Universalist Congregation is truly privileged to have had Reverend Taylor's dedicated leadership for the past eighteen years; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Cook County Board of Commissioners does hereby thank Reverend Alan Taylor for his important and commendable work on behalf of our County and wishes him every continued success in his future endeavors; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a ceremonial copy of this resolution be provided to Reverend Alan Taylor, Unity Temple Unitarian Universalist Congregation, Oak Park, Illinois.
