APPROVAL OF AN EXTENSION AGREEMENT EXTENDING THE TERM OF A COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT NEGOTIATED BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF COOK/COOK COUNTY CLERK AND SERVICE EMPLOYEES INTERNATIONAL UNION (SEIU), LOCAL 73, AFL-CIO, REPRESENTING COUNTY CLERK ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT STAFF

WHEREAS, the Illinois Public Employee Labor Relations Act (5 ILCS 315/1 et seq.) has established regulations regarding collective bargaining with a union; and

WHEREAS, the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the County of Cook/Cook County Clerk and Service Employees International Union (SEIU), Local 73, AFL-CIO, representing County Clerk Administrative Support Staff will expire November 30, 2025, and an Extension Agreement has been entered into between the County of Cook/Cook County Clerk and Service Employees International Union (SEIU), Local 73, AFL-CIO representing County Clerk Administrative Support Staff to extend the term of the Collective Bargaining Agreement for the period of December 1, 2025, through November 30, 2027; and

WHEREAS, salary adjustments and general wage increases are reflected in the salary schedules included in the collective bargaining agreement negotiated between the County of Cook/Cook County Clerk and Service Employees International Union (SEIU), Local 73, AFL-CIO, representing County Clerk Administrative Support Staff; and

The Rates of Pay provision in the extended collective bargaining agreement shall be amended as follows:

(a) All employees actively employed on December 1, 2025, shall receive a one-time lump sum payment in the amount of $2,500.

(b) Effective the first full pay period on or after December 1, 2025, the pay rates for all job classifications shall be increased by 2.0%.

(c) Effective the first full pay period on or after June 1, 2026, the pay rates for all job classifications shall be increased by 2.0%.
