APPROVAL OF SALARY SCHEDULES NEGOTIATED BETWEEN THE OFFICE OF THE COOK COUNTY STATE'S ATTORNEY AND THE AMERICAN FEDERATION OF STATE, COUNTY, AND MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES (AFSCME), COUNCIL 31, LOCAL 2060, AFL-CIO, REPRESENTING CLERICAL SUPPORT/SUPPORT STAFF EMPLOYEES

WHEREAS, the Illinois Public Employee Labor Relations Act (5 ILCS 315/1 et seq.) has established regulations regarding collective bargaining with a union; and

WHEREAS, the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Office of the Cook County State's Attorney and the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME), Council 31, Local 2060, AFL-CIO, representing Clerical Support/Support Staff Employees will expire November 30, 2025 and an Extension Agreement has been entered into between the Office of the Cook County State's Attorney and the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME), Council 31, Local 2060, AFL-CIO to extend the term of the Collective Bargaining Agreement for the period of December 1, 2025 through November 30, 2027; and

WHEREAS, salary adjustments and general wage increases are reflected in the salary schedules included in the collective bargaining agreement negotiated between the Office of the Cook County State's Attorney and the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME), Council 31, Local 2060, AFL-CIO, representing Clerical Support/Support Staff Employees; and

The Rates of Pay provision in the extended collective bargaining agreement shall be amended as follows:

(a) All employees actively employed on December 1, 2025, shall receive a one-time lump sum payment in the amount of $2,500.

(b) Effective the first full pay period on or after December 1, 2025, the pay rates for all job classifications shall be increased by 2.0%.

(c) Effective the first full pay period on or after June 1, 2026, the pay rates for all job classifications shall be increased by 2.0%.
