Summary: The Department of Transportation and Highways respectfully requests approval of the proposed Intergovernmental Agreement between the County and the Village of Mount Prospect. The County will include resurfacing of Lonnquist Boulevard, installation of street lighting, installation of emergency vehicle preemption systems on traffic signals, installation of the Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon, and enhancements such as brick pavers at the northeast corner of Central Road and Busse Road for the Village as part of County’s construction contract for improvements along Busse Road from Golf Road to Central Road. The Village of Mount Prospect will reimburse the County of Cook for its share of construction and construction engineering costs for said improvements, estimated total Village share $408,748.00, under Cook County Section 20-W7141-00-PV.
