Title: THE LIFE AND LEGACY OF KEITH NUNNALLY WHEREAS, Keith Nunnally was born on May 27, 1963, in Chicago, Illinois, to Norris and Earline Nunnally WHEREAS, Keith Nunnally made his peaceful transition into eternal rest September 5, 2025, at 2:19 p.m., surrounded by love, with prayers, song, and the gentle touch of family; and WHEREAS, Keith Nunnally was preceded in death by his parents, Norris and Earline Nunnally, and his brothers Mark and Norris Jr., however, he leaves behind a devoted family, including his brother Gregory, sister Melanie, his sons, nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and a host of friends who cherished him as their own; and WHEREAS, Keith Nunnally was a proud graduate of Morgan Park High School, where his extraordinary talents as a singer, dancer, athlete, dramatist, and leader were recognized; and WHEREAS, Keith Nunnally on August 10, 2008, married Kareen Franck, and was a father to her sons, Braxton and Bradford Nunnally, and a loving stepfather to Bryan Byrdlong; ...

WHEREAS, Keith Nunnally was born on May 27, 1963, in Chicago, Illinois, to Norris and Earline Nunnally

 

WHEREAS, Keith Nunnally made his peaceful transition into eternal rest September 5, 2025, at 2:19 p.m., surrounded by love, with prayers, song, and the gentle touch of family; and

 

WHEREAS, Keith Nunnally was preceded in death by his parents, Norris and Earline Nunnally, and his brothers Mark and Norris Jr., however, he leaves behind a devoted family, including his brother Gregory, sister Melanie, his sons, nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and a host of friends who cherished him as their own; and

 

WHEREAS, Keith Nunnally was a proud graduate of Morgan Park High School, where his extraordinary talents as a singer, dancer, athlete, dramatist, and leader were recognized; and

WHEREAS, Keith Nunnally’s artistic genius first blossomed in Beverly, where his passion for singing and performing quickly set him apart, from early roles in productions like The Wiz to standout community performances; and

 

WHEREAS, Keith Nunnally became a pioneer in Chicago’s emerging house music scene, collaborating with Steve “Silk” Hurley and leaving an indelible mark on a sound that would spread from the city’s underground parties to international acclaim; and

 

WHEREAS, Keith Nunnally was deeply committed to his friends, many of whom became chosen brothers, sharing in life’s trials and triumphs. The Nunnally household served as a gathering place of love, creativity, and community, shaping countless young lives; and

 

WHEREAS, Keith Nunnally’s spiritual journey deepened in his later years, becoming an active participant in men’s ministry, and his faith in Christ anchored him through illness, challenges, and victories, and became the foundation of his peace.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Cook County Board of Commissioners, on behalf of the residents of Cook County, do hereby honor the life and legacy of Keith Nunnally; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be presented to the family of Keith Nunnally as a symbol of comfort, gratitude, and respect for a life well-lived, and a legacy that will endure.
