Title: PROPOSED RESOLUTION ROBIN LABRANCHE RETIREMENT WHEREAS Robin LaBranche is a lifelong Illinois resident, and WHEREAS Robin LaBranche has been married for 36 years and is the proud mother of two sons. Her oldest son holds a Masters Degree in Industrial Engineering and her youngest son holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Design, Production and Technology with a minor in Sound Design and is a Digital Content Creator; and WHEREAS Robin LaBranche has dedicated 12 years to Cook County Government, serving within the Bureau of Finance - OCPO - Business Enterprise Development and 8.5 years with the Chicago Public Schools. Robin LaBranche has focused on advancing equitable contracting opportunities for minority, women, veteran and disability-owned businesses.  ROBIN LABRANCHE RETIREMENT

 

WHEREAS Robin LaBranche is a lifelong Illinois resident, and

 

WHEREAS Robin LaBranche has been married for 36 years and is the proud mother of two sons.  Her oldest son holds a Masters Degree in Industrial Engineering and her youngest son holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Design, Production and Technology with a minor in Sound Design and is a Digital Content Creator; and

 

WHEREAS Robin LaBranche has dedicated 12 years to Cook County Government, serving within the Bureau of Finance - OCPO - Business Enterprise Development and 8.5 years with the Chicago Public Schools.  Robin LaBranche has focused on advancing equitable contracting opportunities for minority, women, veteran and disability-owned businesses.  Her work centered on certification review, compliance and data integrity in support of Cook County; and

 

WHEREAS Robin LaBranche contributed to strengthening systems, supporting transparency and ensuring accurate and thorough application reviews; and 

 

WHEREAS Robin LaBranche helped businesses navigate the certification requirements and expanded access to Cook County procurement.  Robin supported integrity in County data reporting to enhance informed decision making.  Robin LaBranche also served as a reliable and knowledgeable resource for applicants seeking guidance on financial, administrative and regulatory components of certification; and

 

WHEREAS  Robin LaBranche leaves behind a legacy reflecting a consistent commitment to fairness, professionalism and service to others.  Her goal has always been to contribute to meaningful opportunities for diverse businesses and support Cook County’s mission of inclusivity and economic equity; and

 

WHEREAS all who know and worked with Robin LaBranche will miss her commitment to Cook County and skills she brought to the Bureau of Finance; now therefore

 

BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of Cook County that the Board does hereby extend congratulations to Robin LaBranche on her retirement and offer our sincere gratitude for her service to this county, and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this text be spread upon the official proceedings of this Honorable Body, and an official copy of same be presented to Robin LaBranche.
