Title: PROPOSED RESOLUTION TOM ROMAN'S RETIREMENT, SOUTH BARRINGTON POLICE CHIEF WHEREAS, Tom Roman has served as the Chief of Police for the Village of South Barrington for the last ten years; and WHEREAS, following his service as a Police Officer in Glen Ellyn, he was then promoted to Chief of Police in Cary and Roselle; and WHEREAS, Chief Roman was later to be appointed to become Chief of Police in 2014 for the Village South Barrington, where he oversaw police investigations and crime reports; and WHEREAS, Chief Romans's work has been clearly shown, as recognized by the Illinois State Crime Commission as Chief of Police of The Year in 2004; and WHEREAS, Cook County and the Cook County Board of Commissioners have had the honor of working with Chief Roman who has proved to be a wonderful person to work with; and WHEREAS Chief Roman will now be retired and able to spend more time with his family and loved ones; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Commissione...

PROPOSED RESOLUTION

 

TOM ROMAN’S RETIREMENT, SOUTH BARRINGTON POLICE CHIEF

 

WHEREAS, Tom Roman has served as the Chief of Police for the Village of South Barrington for the last ten years; and  

 

WHEREAS, following his service as a Police Officer in Glen Ellyn, he was then promoted to Chief of Police in Cary and Roselle; and  

 

WHEREAS, Chief Roman was later to be appointed to become Chief of Police in 2014 for the Village South Barrington, where he oversaw police investigations and crime reports; and 

 

WHEREAS, Chief Romans’s work has been clearly shown, as recognized by the Illinois State Crime Commission as Chief of Police of The Year in 2004; and 

 

WHEREAS, Cook County and the Cook County Board of Commissioners have had the honor of working with Chief Roman who has proved to be a wonderful person to work with; and

 

WHEREAS Chief Roman will now be retired and able to spend more time with his family and loved ones; 

 

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Commissioners does hereby offer its congratulations to Chief Roman on his retirement from the position of Chief of Police for the Village of South Barrington; and 

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this text be spread upon official proceedings of this Honorable Body, and its suitable copies be tendered to Chief Roman as he enjoys every single day of his retirement.
