Title: PROPOSED RESOLUTION HONORING SARA VALENTE UPON HER ACCEPTANCE TO HARVARD UNIVERSITY WHEREAS, Oak Forest High School Senior Sara Valente has earned a spot in the Harvard University class of 2015; and WHEREAS, Sara Valente spoke as the Oak Forest High School Valedictorian at the Oak Forest High School commencement ceremony held on May 19, 2015 at the Tinley Park Convention Center; and WHEREAS, Sara Valente is committed to excellence academically as well as athletically; in addition to maintaining her status as top student of her class she participated in the National Honor Society, the Kama Literary Magazine and tutored as a Bengal Tutor; Sarah played soccer for several years and was a member of the golf team for every year she attended Oak Forest High School; and WHEREAS, Sara Valente is known for her artistic and musical talent; she has performed in choir, Madrigal choir, in dramas and musicals, and plans to pursue her musical interests through one of Harvard's many gle...

PROPOSED RESOLUTION

 

HONORING SARA VALENTE UPON HER ACCEPTANCE TO HARVARD UNIVERSITY

 

WHEREAS, Oak Forest High School Senior Sara Valente has earned a spot in the Harvard University class of 2015; and

 

WHEREAS, Sara Valente spoke as the Oak Forest High School Valedictorian at the Oak Forest High School commencement ceremony held on May 19, 2015 at the Tinley Park Convention Center; and

 

WHEREAS, Sara Valente is committed to excellence academically as well as athletically; in addition to maintaining her status as top student of her class she participated in the National Honor Society, the Kama Literary Magazine and tutored as a Bengal Tutor; Sarah played soccer for several years and was a member of the golf team for every year she attended Oak Forest High School; and

WHEREAS, Sara Valente plans to study either environmental science or some form of government or political science while at Harvard; and

 

WHEREAS, Sara Valente is a very talented, confident and unique individual who possesses great drive and inspires others through her art, her academic merit and her great love of learning.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the President and Members of the Cook County Board of Commissioners do hereby congratulate Sara Valente and wish her much success at Harvard and in all her future endeavors; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this text be spread upon the official proceedings of this Honorable Body, and an official copy of same be presented to Sara Valente in recognition of her many accomplishments and her acceptance to Harvard University.
