PROPOSED RESOLUTION
HONORING STEPHANIE STINSON ON HER RETIREMENT FROM THE COOK COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFFICE
WHEREAS, on March 31, 2015, Stephanie Stinson retired from the Cook County Sheriff’s Office after thirty years of dedicated service; and
WHEREAS, in 1985, Stephanie Stinson embarked on an outstanding career in law enforcement to protect and maintain the safety, welfare, and public order for the people of Cook County; and
WHEREAS, Stephanie Stinson worked sixteen years as a Supervisor in court services at the Chicago Police Department stations at 51st Street, 111th Street, 11th Street, and 63rd Street and also as a Silver Process Officer serving summons and orders of protection; and
WHEREAS, Stephanie Stinson worked fourteen years as a Deputy Sherriff patrolling the Cook County Building on the midnight shift; and
WHEREAS, Stephanie Stinson’s career exemplifies a standard of excellence, and her exceptional commitment and service to the Cook County Sherriff’s Office is commendable and admirable. Throughout her thirty year career, Stephanie was always well liked by her colleagues, and recognized for her professionalism and hard work; and
WHEREAS, Stephanie Stinson plans to enjoy her retirement spending time at the Botanical Gardens smelling fresh flowers and taking art painting classes; and
WHEREAS, Stephanie Stinson is dearly loved by her family, friends, and colleagues. Stephanie is admired and respected by all who know her and she will be sorely missed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle, Commissioner Stanley Moore, and the entire Board of Commissioners congratulate Stephanie Stinson for her dedicated years of service and wish her a long and enjoyable retirement; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a suitable copy of this resolution will be presented to Stephanie Stinson as evidence of the esteem in which she is held.
