HONORING THE LIFE AND LEGACY OF OCTAVIA REDMOND

 

WHEREAS, Octavia Redmond was born on February 19, 1976, and departed this life on July 19, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and selflessness that will be forever remembered by all who knew her; and

 

WHEREAS, Octavia was the heart of her family, always giving unselfishly and being there for those she loved, providing comfort, support, and care in ways that deeply touched the lives of her family and friends; and

 

WHEREAS, Octavia's dedication and love were most profoundly felt by her cousins, the McNair family, who cherished her deeply and were richly blessed to have her in their lives. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that on behalf of the President, the members of the Cook County Board of Commissioners and the 5.2 million residents of Cook County, this legislative body hereby extend our heartfelt condolences and come together to honor the memory of Octavia Redmond, celebrating her life, legacy and the joy she brought to all who knew her; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a suitable copy of this Resolution is presented to Octavia’s family as a token of our enduring love and support, and that it be recorded in the annals of our community as a testament to the profound impact of Octavia’s life.
