Title: PROPOSED RESOLUTION A RESOLUTION COMMEMORATING THE 100TH ANNIVERSARY ST. CHRISTINA CATHOLIC PARISH WHEREAS, in 1926, in the Mount Greenwood community on Chicago's southwest side, St. Christina Catholic Parish was founded to serve the spiritual needs of a growing Catholic population and, for one hundred years, has faithfully ministered to generations of families through worship, religious education, and extensive charitable outreach; and WHEREAS, the Reverend Thomas Friel was appointed as the first pastor of St. Christina Catholic Parish and celebrated the first Holy Mass at Cunningham School, laying the spiritual foundation upon which the parish community would flourish; and WHEREAS, through the dedication and sacrifice of its early parishioners, a portable church was constructed in 1927 to provide a permanent place of worship, and in 1935 a beautiful brick church was completed, where Mass was joyfully celebrated for the first time on Christmas Day, marking a significant milestone ...

A RESOLUTION COMMEMORATING THE 100TH ANNIVERSARY ST. CHRISTINA CATHOLIC PARISH

WHEREAS, in 1926, in the Mount Greenwood community on Chicago's southwest side, St. Christina Catholic Parish was founded to serve the spiritual needs of a growing Catholic population and, for one hundred years, has faithfully ministered to generations of families through worship, religious education, and extensive charitable outreach; and
