Title: PROPOSED RESOLUTION HONORING THE LIFE OF OFFICER ROBERT FRYC WHEREAS, Officer Robert J. Fryc was taken from our midst the morning of February 16, 2025, while on the way to serve the Glenview community; and WHEREAS, Robert Fryc was the cherished son of Joseph and Joanna Fryc, born in Chicago in August of 1981; and WHEREAS, Robert Fryc was a cherished member of his extended family, affectionately called "Uncle RaRa" by his goddaughter, Madelyn; and WHEREAS, Robert Fryc married his beloved wife, Lauren, in September of 2015; and WHEREAS, outside of his commitment to the Glenview Police Department, Robert Fryc was an avid Premier League fan, often rising early to watch games; and WHEREAS, above all, Robert Fryc loved to spent time with family, whether it was vacationing in Michigan, or visiting with his parents at their home before work; and WHEREAS, Robert Fryc trained as a community service office in Niles in 2006 where he was known for his funny and outgoing nature; and ...

HONORING THE LIFE OF OFFICER ROBERT FRYC

WHEREAS, Officer Robert J. Fryc was taken from our midst the morning of February 16, 2025, while on the way to serve the Glenview community; and

WHEREAS, Robert Fryc was the cherished son of Joseph and Joanna Fryc, born in Chicago in August of 1981; and

WHEREAS, Robert Fryc was a cherished member of his extended family, affectionately called "Uncle RaRa" by his goddaughter, Madelyn; and

WHEREAS, Robert Fryc married his beloved wife, Lauren, in September of 2015; and

WHEREAS, outside of his commitment to the Glenview Police Department, Robert Fryc was an avid Premier League fan, often rising early to watch games; and

WHEREAS, above all, Robert Fryc loved to spent time with family, whether it was vacationing in Michigan, or visiting with his parents at their home before work; and

WHEREAS, Robert Fryc trained as a community service office in Niles in 2006 where he was known for his funny and outgoing nature; and

WHEREAS, Robert Fryc dutifully served the Glenview community for nearly 18 years beginning in 2007; and

WHEREAS, his fellow officers described Robert Fryc has supportive, dependable, knowledgeable, and understanding; and

WHEREAS, during his time with the Glenview Police Department, Robert Fryc was seen as a caring leader, a quality made all the more evident when he helped save the life of a fellow officer who was in the midst of a brain aneurysm while on the job; and

WHEREAS, early in his career, Robert Fryc was awarded a Departmental Performance Citation in 2008 for his role in the apprehension of two subjects who were ultimately charged with a series of residential burglaries; and

WHEREAS, Robert Fryc was the recipient of a Certificate of Appreciation from the Alliance Against Intoxicated Motorists, in recognition of his commendable DUI enforcement efforts in 2010, 2016, 2017, and 2019; and
