Title: PROPOSED RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING THE YOUNG IRISH FELLOWSHIP CLUB OF CHICAGO WHEREAS, the Young Irish Fellowship Club of Chicago is a social and charitable organization run by volunteers in their 20's and 30's that celebrates the Irish culture; and WHEREAS, open to young people of all cultural backgrounds, the Young Irish Fellowship Club of Chicago volunteers their time and donates to worthy local organizations to help make an impact on their community; and WHEREAS, this year marks the 42ND anniversary of Forever Green, one of Chicago's largest and longest running St. Patrick's Day celebrations; and WHEREAS, Forever Green will be held on March 17, 2017 at the Chicago Cultural Center in Chicago and will benefit the Andrew Weishar Foundation, which supports the mission of providing immediate resources to the families of adolescents or young adults battling cancer, and March4Meg, an organization which supports people dealing with melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer; and NOW, ...

RECOGNIZING THE YOUNG IRISH FELLOWSHIP CLUB OF CHICAGO

 

WHEREAS, the Young Irish Fellowship Club of Chicago is a social and charitable organization run by volunteers in their 20's and 30's that celebrates the Irish culture; and

 

WHEREAS, open to young people of all cultural backgrounds, the Young Irish Fellowship Club of Chicago volunteers their time and donates to worthy local organizations to help make an impact on their community; and

 

WHEREAS, this year marks the 42ND anniversary of Forever Green, one of Chicago's largest and longest running St. Patrick's Day celebrations; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that we, the Cook County Board of Commissioners, on behalf of ourselves and staff, do hereby recognize the Young Irish Fellowship of Chicago for their good works in the community; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution be spread upon the permanent Record of Proceedings of the Cook County Board of Commissioners, and that a copy of same, suitably engrossed, be presented to the Young Irish Fellowship Club of Chicago.
