Title: PROPOSED RESOLUTION HONORING CHRIST THE KING JESUIT COLLEGE PREPARATORY HIGH SCHOOL ON THE OCCASION OF THEIR 10TH ANNIVERSARY WHEREAS, Christ the King Jesuit College Preparatory High School, located at 5088 W. Jackson Boulevard in Chicago, IL, began their mission in August of 2008 with just 120 freshman, and; WHEREAS, Christ the King Jesuit College Preparatory High School is a part of the Cristo Rey Network which is a non-for-profit organization founded in 2000 to prepare youth from low-income families for post-secondary educational opportunities, and; WHEREAS, with the Cristo Rey program students are able to earn three-quarters of their tuition costs while gaining beneficial, experience and life changing skills through jobs at Chicago area companies, and; WHEREAS, the Cristo Rey program was chartered in 1996 and since then it has grown to 32 schools across 21 states nationwide. WHEREAS, Christ the King Jesuit College Preparatory High School, located at 5088 W. Jackson Boulevard in Chicago, IL, began their mission in August of 2008 with just 120 freshman, and;

WHEREAS, Christ the King implements a curriculum that is challenging yet rewarding that prepares their students to excel in the class, and in life, and;

WHEREAS, Christ the King's leadership team's focus and vision is to promote a Christian/Catholic education to help their students to successfully enroll into good universities and colleges, and;

WHEREAS, Christ the King boasts a 97.8% college enrollment rate for their graduates, demonstrating their students level of preparedness and focus, and;
