Title: PROPOSED RESOLUTION HONORING HOURVOICE WHEREAS, HourVoice was created as a first-of-its-kind effort to empower hourly workers with the education and technology they need to succeed in the modern workplace; and WHEREAS, hourly workers can often be unaware of all the rights they are entitled to at the workplace; and WHEREAS, education about the issues faced by hourly workers, and the rights they have, is critically important to ensuring that all Cook County residents are respected at the workplace and able to better support their families; and WHEREAS, HourVoice has worked in diverse Cook County communities to provide education and information to workers and their advocates of all backgrounds; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the President and the Cook County Board of Commissioners, on behalf of the residents of Cook County, recognize the importance of HourVoice and its essential contribution to the health and viability of Cook County; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that th...

HONORING HOURVOICE

 

WHEREAS, HourVoice was created as a first-of-its-kind effort to empower hourly workers with the education and technology they need to succeed in the modern workplace; and

 

WHEREAS, hourly workers can often be unaware of all the rights they are entitled to at the workplace; and

 

WHEREAS, education about the issues faced by hourly workers, and the rights they have, is critically important to ensuring that all Cook County residents are respected at the workplace and able to better support their families; and

 

WHEREAS, HourVoice has worked in diverse Cook County communities to provide education and information to workers and their advocates of all backgrounds; and
