Title: PROPOSED RESOLUTION HONORING THE LIFE OF LOUIS FRANCIS MATERRE WHEREAS, Louis Francis Materre was born in Chicago on February 19, 1927, and WHEREAS, Mr. Materre was the second of three children born to Etienne and Odessa Materre, and WHEREAS, the Lord in His infinite wisdom called Mr. Materre home on April 13, 2018, and WHEREAS, Mr. Materre was a superb athlete who loved to bowl and golf, and WHEREAS, Mr. Materre was an Army veteran who served during the Korean War and earned a service medal with two bronze stars, and WHEREAS, as a devoted entrepreneur, Mr. Materre owned a paint store while he worked as a teacher at Dunbar High School, and WHEREAS, he eventually ventured into the insurance business and opened his own agency that had three locations, and WHEREAS, Mr. Materre and his beloved wife, Jeanne, raised their beloved children Louis, Micah, Daryl, and Gloria, and WHEREAS, Mr. Materre loved his grandchildren and great-grandchild, and WHEREAS, Mr. Materre loved his life ...

HONORING THE LIFE OF LOUIS FRANCIS MATERRE

 

WHEREAS, Louis Francis Materre was born in Chicago on February 19, 1927, and

 

WHEREAS, Mr. Materre was the second of three children born to Etienne and Odessa Materre, and

 

WHEREAS, the Lord in His infinite wisdom called Mr. Materre home on April 13, 2018, and

 

WHEREAS, Mr. Materre was a superb athlete who loved to bowl and golf, and

 

WHEREAS, Mr. Materre was an Army veteran who served during the Korean War and earned a service medal with two bronze stars, and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Cook County Board of Commissioners that Mr. Louis Francis Materre is honored and remembered for all that he did for his family, friends, and the people of Cook County.
