JOSEPH MAURICIO, IN MEMORIAM

 

WHEREAS. Almighty God in His infinite wisdom has called Joseph Mauricio from our midst; and

 

WHEREAS, Joseph Mauricio was the loving and adored husband to Veronica Leighton; and

 

WHEREAS, Joseph Mauricio was the loving stepfather of Robert (Christina) Leighton; and

 

WHEREAS, Joseph Mauricio was the cherished grandfather of Maya and Christian; and

 

WHEREAS, Joseph Mauricio was a loving father and dear uncle; and

 

WHEREAS, Joseph Mauricio was the Co-Publisher of the Via Times, a monthly publication considered to be one of the largest ethnic publications of its kind in the United States, with many readers from the Filipino, Asian, and Hispanic American communities; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Commissioners of Cook County that the Board does hereby offer its deepest condolences and most heartfelt sympathy to the family and many friends of Joseph Mauricio, and joins them in sorrow at this time of loss; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this text be spread upon the official proceedings of this Honorable Body, and a suitable copy of same be tendered to the family of Joseph Mauricio that his memory may be so honored and ever cherished.
